Amber Valley Vineyards pride themselves on being producers, stockists and sellers of fine English wines, locally produced ales, ciders, and spirits, all of which can be purchased in the Vineyard or online.

What could be more idyllic than meandering around vineyards, before enjoying a relaxing picnic listening to the birdsong in a pretty orchard or in the pavilion, whilst enjoying a glass of excellent wine, overlooking the surrounding countryside? Or cosying up in the old stables Cellardoor Bar in front of a log burning fire, enjoying a locally brewed pint, or glass of refreshing cider?

At Amber Valley Vineyards in Wessington, between Alfreton and Matlock on the edge of the Peak District National Park, you can do exactly that, and so much more, with friends, family and your four-legged friend.

The Vineyard is open for you to visit for a drink in the Cellardoor Bar, to browse the shop, or take yourself on a stroll through the grounds on most Saturdays throughout the year and Sundays through the summer months. Private bookings can be made on request.

Traditional Wassailing events are also held each January, where you can enjoy this age-old tradition of ‘’drinking plentiful amounts of alcohol and enjoy oneself with others in a noisy, lively way’’.  So after a traditional torch procession, get your tambourines, drums and saucepans ready, and make some noise! The perfect way to blow away those January blues and have some good old-fashioned fun.
