District National Park.
Bagshaw Hall is an historic building, dating back to 1650. Full of character, it provides individual style combined with comfort and luxury. The Hall has been fully refurbished and redecorated, but of course this restoration has been carried out sympathetically and in keeping with the building’s heritage.
At Bagshaw Hall you’ll find many original features,
including high corniced ceilings, stone and Ashford marble fireplaces,
370-year-old oak flooring, Queen Anne panelling and period window shutters. Each
part of the building has been designed using strong, rich colours, the latest
wallpapers and an eclectic mix of traditional and contemporary furniture and lighting.
The suites at Bagshaw Hall are all spacious and luxurious, each perfectly designed with an eye for detail and a keen sense of style. Many have living areas with feature fireplaces, and all have flat screen TVs and CD players with an iPod dock and a radio, as well as complimentary tea, coffee and milk. The large, comfortable beds are made up with luxury linen. The en-suite bathrooms are supplied with luxury towels and speciality toiletries.
Some suites have kitchenettes, while some have full kitchens
equipped with everything you might need for a self-catering stay. Every suite in Bagshaw Hall also has a dining
table and chairs to take breakfast, which can be delivered to your suite.
There is a reception lounge area available for guests’ use,
and a dining room which seats up to 12 people at one large table, ideal for
groups or families who would like to eat together. Wifi broadband is provided throughout.
Outside at Bagshaw Hall, you’ll find a beautiful garden area
to the front of the building with seating and a croquet lawn, overlooking the
town rooftops and on to the golf course on the other side of the valley.
A gravel car park to the rear of the building provides
private parking. Bagshaw Hall provides Tesla & Type 2 electric car chargers
for guests’ use.
Bagshaw Hall also has a private dining room and meeting room
available for special events or business conventions, allowing the whole of
Bagshaw Hall & the Sleep Lodge to be reserved for a private occasion.
The Sleep Lodge at Bagshaw Hall provides perfect
accommodation for those travellers who value their independence and want style
without having to compromise, yet have a budget to keep to.
Each suite is designed to provide exactly what guests want to find when they get to their room. The bedrooms are spacious with large, comfortable beds, and all have en-suite bathrooms.
Every suite in the Sleep Lodge has a kitchenette with a microwave, fridge, sink, kettle and toaster (some also have induction hobs), as well as dining areas with tables and chairs. All have flat screen TVs with an integrated DVD and CD player.
The ancient market town of Bakewell, famed for its wonderful puddings and tarts, is an easy 3 minute stroll away from Bagshaw Hall and the Sleep Lodge. The only town wholly within the Peak District National Park, Bakewell has a wealth of independent shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, as well as the usual High Street favourites.
Bakewell is located in the heart of the Peak District, meaning that Bagshaw Hall and the Sleep Lodge is perfectly situated for exploring the area. Within only a short drive you’ll find the country estates of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall.
The surrounding countryside is stunning, and this is the ideal location for walkers, cyclists, riders or climbers. The Monsal Trail, an 8.5 mile traffic-free path, runs from Bakewell right out into the beautiful Chee Dale, close to the elegant spa town of Buxton. Cycle hire is available from Hassop Station, located very close to Bakewell.
