Situated in the corner of a meadow field, bursting with wildflowers in the summer months and surrounded by breath-taking views of the Peak District National Park, they are the perfect place to stay for a romantic, peaceful break. Just two minutes’ walk away from the lovely Peak District village of Longnor, complete with village shop, pub and its own little onsite farm shop with picnic benches, selling hot and cold drinks, local produce and tasty snacks – what more could you wish for?!

Penny, Twobob and Sixpence

Huts In The Peak are located on a small working farm, so although these delightful Shepherd Huts are pet-free you’ll get to see a variety of farm animals in this secluded, picturesque spot, including characterful ponies and donkeys!

Inside, each of the Shepherd Huts have been gorgeously decorated and furnished to give a wonderful cosy, cottage feel. Like a magical hideaway, but with all the modern amenities you could need. 

Penny, Twobob and Sixpence each include:

  • A comfortable double bed with crisp, clean bedding and underbed storage
  • A bathroom with toilet, sink, hot shower, soft towels and bathroom essentials
  • A log burner, with bag of logs
  • A dining area, perfect for those cosy nights in
  • A fabulous little kitchenette area complete with fridge, hob, sink, microwave, kettle and toaster, plus complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits, as well as all the kitchen essentials you might need
  • Smart TVs, WiFi and heating. 

Outdoor Seating

Whilst the indoor spaces at Huts In The Peak are special, the outdoor area is divine. Enjoy a morning coffee soaking up the peace and quiet whilst looking out over the amazing views of the Peak District National Park. 

After a day exploring this fabulous area, with footpaths from the door, sit back at the end of the day, with a glass of wine, chilled beer or a hot chocolate, snuggled around a fire pit, planning the next day’s adventure. A disposable BBQ is also provided for those fancying a little alfresco dining beside your private patio table. There is a communal shaded area for sunnier days, with a larger shared fire pit, ideal for friends and family to gather around together. Each of the Shepherd Huts at Huts In The Peak also have nearby parking and use of a storage unit for those wishing to bring bikes.

Onsite Farm Shop

Hut’s in The Peak now has its very own farm shop stocking hot and cold drinks, local produce and tasty snacks, which is open to both guests and walkers. They accept cash or card, so why not call in when you are passing for a scrumptious hot chocolate and moreish brownie, while taking in those wonderful views.

Huts In The Peak are just a two-minute stroll from the lovely village of Longnor, where you will find everything you would expect village life to offer: a village shop, chip shop and pub, all nestled around a cobbled village square, together with regular village events. Situated on a ridge between Hartington and Buxton, the views are breath-taking and the walking opportunities are idyllic.  One of the Peak District’s favourite walks, Dragon’s Back of Parkhouse Hill and Chrome Hill, is just 2 miles away, making Huts In The Peak the perfect place to explore this delightful Staffordshire Countryside.

Huts in the Peak are just a 10-minute drive to other picturesque Peak District villages such as Monyash and Hartington, with many more to discover en route. Head a little further afield to explore the wonders of Thor’s Cave, or browse the spa town of Buxton with a fabulous selection of independent shops, bars and restaurants. Being centrally located between Staffordshire and Derbyshire, with the River Dove and Manifold flowing either side, you will soon see why visitors flock to this stunning area to explore its rugged terrain and beautiful valleys.
