A second building, The Grand Barn, provides a striking venue for up to 30 people, perfect for hosting intimate weddings, celebrations, yoga retreats or conferences. Its airy open-plan layout features a wood burning stove, exposed brickwork and a mezzanine with a grand piano.

The heart of the home is the expansive open-plan living space at Bleaklow Farm, which really is something else! You’ll be wowed as soon as you arrive by the breathtaking views from the floor to ceiling windows, which in turn allow light to flood in, making this the brightest, most inviting space!

The well-equipped kitchen is divided into two areas with plenty of utensils and modern appliances to cater for larger gatherings, so the whole group can help rustle up breakfasts, lunches, evening banquets and party canapés!

Your entire group can gather around the spacious dining table to eat, before relaxing on the large, sumptuous corner sofas and soaking in those beautiful Peak District views, or watching the TV in front of the flickering fire.

This fabulous socialising space can then extend further by opening up the fully glazed doors on both sides, allowing fresh air to flow through. Your gathering can choose to spread through to the intimate, enclosed courtyard, or out onto the open patio and lawns where you can soak up the sunshine all day long and immerse yourself in those panoramic views!

Just off the main living space is the Library – a quiet space, with luxurious rich tones and plenty of comfortable sofas, armchairs, lamps and board games, overlooking the courtyard and a small pond.  The perfect place to enjoy a quiet moment away from the hustle and bustle of the main group!

There is also a beautiful sitting room, with sofas to seat up to 6 people, who can gather to enjoy some peace and relaxation in front of the TV and the crackling wood burning stove.

For those that want to embrace everything that Bleaklow Farm has to offer, there is also a fabulous gym, with a great selection of weights and cardio equipment. This room also doubles up as a fun games room with full sized pool table and large wall mounted TV, for either blasting tunes while you work out or catching up on the latest sports events.

15 Elegant En-suite Bedrooms

There are 15 en-suite king sized bedrooms at Bleaklow Farm, most of which can easily be separated to create two singles if required, enabling rooms to be adjusted to suit your group’s requirements prior to your arrival. The bedrooms are split between the main house and the surrounding courtyard buildings, perfect for those who require a little more quiet time way from the main party.

  • Main House – There are eight bedrooms in the main house split over three floors with two of those rooms being on the ground floor, ideal for those who are less mobile.
  • The Stable Rooms – The two bedrooms in the stable rooms are ideal for couples wanting a little privacy or for a small family who perhaps have little ones they wish to take away from the main party later in the evening or for daytime naps.
  • The Outhouse Rooms – The outhouse rooms comprise three interconnecting bedrooms and a small kitchenette, again ideal for three couples or another family. The handy kitchenette is great for those who wish to perhaps prepare baby bottles, etc away from the main party, or to enjoy a late-night snack or breakfast in peace and quiet before joining the main group.
  • The Dovecote Rooms – provides one ground floor room and one first floor room, perfect for couples and small families.

Each of the rooms has been meticulously designed and sumptuously decorated with soft carpets, rich fabrics and beautiful furniture to create a haven of calm and relaxation during your stay. Additional furniture and thoughtful touches such as armchairs, bedside tables, mirrors and lamps enhance the homely ambiance, whist original features such as striking timber beams and exposed stone walls add to the charm.

Each of the rooms has a stylish en-suite shower room, with fluffy towels and toiletries, enabling all guests to have their own bit of privacy. In the main house, the attic bedrooms also have the added luxury and romance of free standing baths where you can soak away under the natural light of the Velux windows.


The Grand Barn

If all of that wasn’t enough, Bleaklow Farm then brings you The Grand Barn with a world of endless possibilities!

This magical, rustic barn, accommodating up to 30 guests, radiates elegance and charm with vaulted ceilings, timber beams, exposed brickwork and a magnificent wood burning stove at its heart! The Grand Barn can be tailored to suit any occasion, whether it’s an intimate wedding, a family feast, a lively dance party, or a serene yoga session. Tables can be laid out to suit your needs and decorated accordingly or moved away to create a dance floor in the most fabulous setting.

Ascend to the mezzanine, where the grand piano awaits your musical talents, or enjoy time away in the cosy TV room, perfect for enjoying a film or cheering on your favourite sports team. For added convenience, The Grand Barn also has its own male and female toilets.

The grounds at Bleaklow Farm are just spectacular! Set in its own farmland, surrounded by acres and acres of fields, with just the sounds of skylarks in the mornings and lambs in spring, there is no nicer place to wake than Bleaklow Farm with its mesmerising, far-reaching views.

Just beyond the main living area lies a spacious patio with comfortable outdoor furniture, offering the perfect setting to bask in the sun throughout the day, whilst watching little ones have fun on the large lawn. For a delightful dining experience venture into the enclosed courtyard, which seamlessly links the Main House to The Grand Barn. Here, large tables await, inviting you to enjoy delicious meals under the open sky, with the use of a large Weber barbecue.

Fabulous Central Location

Bleaklow Farm is positioned in the heart of the Peak District between Hassop and Great Longstone, and close to the picturesque village of Ashford in the Water and the fabulous Chatsworth House estate, with many more bustling towns and pretty villages close by to explore.

Hassop is just two miles away with a fabulous tea room where you can hire bikes to enjoy the 8.5 mile traffic-free route along the Monsal Trail, running from Bakewell towards Buxton. Each of those towns are a great place to browse the shops, enjoy the many cafes and bars and perhaps take in a show or a pampering spa treatment in Buxton.

There are many stop off points along the Monsal Trail for refreshments, including country pubs serving delicious meals and tea rooms for treats. The trail takes you close to some of the most beautiful parts of the Peak District, including Millers Dale, a beautiful dale recognised as a Site of Special Scientific Interest, and the chocolate box village of Ashford in the Water, with the tranquil River Wye running through it. 

Being central to so many popular towns and villages, the walking routes are endless! Should you wish, you could simply park the car up and explore the miles of stunning Peak District landscape that surrounds Bleaklow Farm, stretching out as far as the eye can see!
