Amateur photography and Peak District Photography Enthusiast
Pete Simons is an amateur photographer with a special interest for landscapes, pets and the occasional local event. Photography and graphic design have always been among his main interests along with music, though his day job is in IT. Pete hails from The Netherlands and moved to Sheffield fifteen years ago. With the Peak District on the doorstep, the photographic opportunities are endless. Favourite places include Higger Tor, the Derwent Valley, Strines and Chatsworth. He publishes to Instagram and Facebook as Peter Simons Photography, and regularly posts in Facebook groups such as Let’s Go Peak District, Peak District Photography and Pictures Of Sheffield Old And New. He likes to experiment with different styles, but most images are moody with strong contrast and rich colours. Pete attended a Villager Jim Photography Day with Phil Sproson to further explore the camera’s possibilities; and he can be found out in the Peak most weekends and evenings.

Landscape Photographer
Paul, better known as Great Lux Photography, was born in Chesterfield, Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District National Park and has been a regular visitor to the Peak as a walker for many years but it wasn’t until the start of 2018 he began his landscape photography journey, striving to capture the beauty of the ever changing landscapes and stunning wildlife of our local national park.
Having suffered from clinical depression, Paul openly talks about his mental health issues in order to hopefully help other sufferers know that they are not alone, championing the physical and mental benefits of visiting the countryside that surrounds us. Believing time in the Peak District is not only enjoyable but necessary in order to recharge your batteries from the stress and struggles of the daily grind.
Paul can usually be found photographing sunrise or sunset at various locations throughout the Peak District

Kieran was a talented freelance graphic and web designer from South Manchester, but it was as a passionate photographer that he became a cherished part of our community here at Let’s Go Peak District. He found his greatest peace away from the screen, unwinding on the hillsides and rocky edges of the Peak District, often waiting patiently to capture the perfect sunset or a sunrise, if he could manage an early start!

Capturer of scenes and founder of @your_peakdistrict
I live at the southern end of the Peak District with my family and two dogs and I’m a small business owner of a tree surgery firm, alongside my husband. I am an avid runner walker and scenery hunter (like Suzanne ‘Peaklass’) I love nothing better than catching morning sunrises and cloud inversions.
I love watching the seasons change around Dovedale, I feel truly privileged to be able to watch them.

Suzanne is the busy little soul responsible for producing the content for our website, including the walks, features and newsletters, as well as details of places to stay, sights to see and things to do. She is an avid runner, walker and explorer, and loves nothing more than escaping into the hills and dales of the Peak District for outdoor adventures. Suzanne is passionate about every aspect of the Peak District National Park – its landscapes, its wildlife, its communities, in all weathers and seasons – and feels privileged to be able to share the beauty of this wonderful place with so many people through Let’s Go Peak District.
Suzanne is also into her Peak District Photography and is a keen photographer and posts on Instagram as @peaklass, often sharing her Peak District scenes on the Let’s Go Peak District Facebook page and Instagram account as well.
