Why not try a Let’s Go Peak District local walk during your stay?
Our Dales of the River Dove Walk (8 miles) starts from nearby Alsop-en-le-Dale and takes you through some of the most spectacular dales in the White Peak, where dramatic limestone crags tower above grassy slopes dotted with wildflowers. There are picturesque villages and shady woodlands en route, and the walk often meanders along the banks of the beautiful River Dove.
Or our Dovedale and Ilam Walk (6 miles) starts from nearby Dovedale. It crosses the famous stepping stones, walks on shady paths alongside the River Dove as it cuts between towering limestone cliffs, tracks through the grassy slopes of Hall Dale and passes through the picture-perfect village of Ilam before returning to Dovedale. There are magnificent views along the way, although this route does not feel like a tough one and is a good one for the whole family to enjoy, maybe with a picnic en route.
