The Peak District National Park

The Peak District National Park is located in the heart of England, encompassing Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and Yorkshire, with breath-taking scenery and a relaxed feeling of times gone by. With pretty, stone-built cottages, winding country lanes, leading through pasture fields and village greens, the Peak District National Park boasts some of the prettiest, quaintest villages in England, and some of the most magnificent walking routes, drawing visitors back year after year.

The landscape has something for everyone from gentle strolls through the pretty villages such as Eyam, and picnics on the riverbanks in picturesque areas such as Youlgreave, to more challenging hiking and climbing routes such as mighty Mam Tor and the gritstone ridge, The Roaches.

With the sound of curlews and lambs in the spring and hedgerows full of daffodils, meadow fields bursting with buttercups and moorlands carpeted with purple heather in the summer, village lanes arched with golden trees in the autumn, and glistening snowy landscapes in the winter, The Peak District National Park is spectacular at all times of the year.

Whether you prefer to explore the pretty villages, catch up with friends in the tea rooms, or enjoy a long hike with the obligatory stop off at a village pub, there really is something for everyone. Maybe you’d enjoy a family cycle ride on one of the many traffic-free cycle routes, such as the Monsal Trail, or a day spent browsing in the shops of the delightful spa towns, such as Buxton?

Whenever you choose to visit, and whatever you choose to do, you are sure to have a fabulous break with the help of Peak Staycations.
