The Windy Harbour Hotel Restaurant overlooks the beautiful gardens, with glorious views over the Woodhead Valley and beyond, making it the perfect place for a peaceful breakfast, a fabulous afternoon tea or a relaxing meal.

Pop in for breakfast seven days per week from 7.30am – 11.30am, where you will be offered a warm welcome and delicious home-cooked food. Fresh coffee is hand roasted from Naked Bean. 

No booking is necessary, so it’s an ideal start before you head off for a day in the glorious Peak District.  

Lunch at the Windy Harbour Hotel Restaurant is served Monday to Saturday from 12.00pm to 6.00pm, with a selection of menus to suit all tastes. From sandwiches to home cooked favourites, there’s something for every appetite.

Finally, after working up an appetite out in the surrounding countryside, settle down and enjoy a drink in the bar or cosy lounge area before enjoying your evening meal, served 6.00pm to 8.30pm.

The bar is well stocked, offering a selection of speciality cask ales and gins.

Whilst booking is not essential, it is recommended.

On Sundays, enjoy a traditional Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, served from 12.00pm to 4.00pm. Feel free to relax in the garden or one of the lounge areas before or afterwards, to make the most of your time in this wonderful location.

Accredited with a Brides North West Wedding Award in 2019, Windy Harbour Hotel is the most idyllic place to host your picturesque wedding or celebration.

With two rooms licensed for civil weddings, the hotel can accommodate up to 80 or 120 guests respectively.  Marquee hire in the beautiful gardens is also available, with stunning views, making the perfect backdrop for those all-important, treasured photos.

The staff at Windy Harbour Hotel can tailor the day to suit your requirements, with wedding breakfast, canapés, buffets and evening receptions. The restaurant will seat up to 80 guests for a formal meal, or 160 guests for a more relaxed buffet-style celebration. Either way, the small, friendly team will ensure you have the most perfect day.

Conferences at Windy Harbour Hotel

With excellent WiFi and presentation equipment, Windy Harbour Hotel is an ideal formal venue for business meetings and conferences. The main function room can accommodate up to 60 people in theatre style or 30 people in boardroom format. An overhead projector, slide projector and flip chart can be supplied, as well as that all-important tea, coffee and biscuits to keep you going. 

Lunch or evening meal can be provided either in the conference room in the form of a buffet or a formal meal in the restaurant.

Set just outside Glossop on the outskirts of the Peak District, Windy Harbour Hotel is the ideal location to enjoy this beautiful part of the National Park.  

The ancient market town of Glossop is often referred to as the Gateway to the Peak District. It’s perfect for walkers, with way-marked paths, reservoirs, valleys to explore and challenging hills to climb.

Located at the foot of the Snake Pass and Woodhead Pass, Glossop is an ideal base for exploring Kinder Scout, Black Hill, Bleaklow and the Longdendale Valley. And of course it’s a regular stop-off point for those trekking the Pennine Way!

As well as walks direct from the door, just a short drive through the National Park’s renowned countryside takes you to popular spots such as Castleton, Edale, Hathersage and so many more.  

Just one mile away is the picturesque Howard Park, which is well worth a visit in all seasons.

With a selection of bus routes and train lines, Glossop is easily accessible from Manchester, Ashton-under-Lyne, Hyde, Buxton and Stockport.

For those travelling by car, free parking is available.
