Bank House Hathersage : Creative Cuisine
Formerly a bank built in 1910, featuring striking Neo-Jacobean architecture, Bank House Hathersage is now a stylish place to drink and dine in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
Inspired by the Mediterranean but proudly local, Bank House offers a playful take on British cuisine, emphasising rustic, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. The dishes are designed for sampling and sharing, and are complemented by an iconic cocktail experience served in a vibrant atmosphere.
Dining at Bank House Hathersage
With a cocktail bar and social dining on the ground floor, and an exclusive restaurant on the second floor, at Bank House Hathersage you’ll find the perfect environment in which to unwind with friends, family or colleagues.
Outside there’s a sunny veranda area for enjoying al fresco dining and drinking, looking up at the hills all around you.
Situated in the spectacular Hope Valley and surrounded on all sides by wooded hillsides and magnificent gritstone edges, the pretty village of Hathersage is a Peak District gem. With beautiful old stone buildings lining the streets, and a collection of vibrant shops, cafés, pubs and restaurants, it’s no wonder that Hathersage is one of the most popular villages in this part of the Peak District National Park.
Hathersage is particularly popular with lovers of outdoor activities. It’s a great base for exploring Stanage Edge, a gritstone escarpment just north of the village that stretches for almost 4 miles and is famous as a location for rock climbing. The many moorland and fell trails that start from the edge of the village also offer wonderful routes for running, cycling and hiking.
