Landlord and Landlady, Tom and Kat Keogh, welcome you to The Derwentwater Arms, a friendly, comfortable pub with an enjoyable atmosphere for all guests.
Situated in the pretty village of Calver, The Derwentwater Arms lies on the border between the White Peak and the Dark Peak, against the River Derwent and being situated on a hill, it has the most beautiful Peak District scenery, looking over to Curbar Edge and beyond.
Calver itself is an ancient village, mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. The oldest part of the village has a cluster of lovely stone cottages gathered around an ancient village cross. The Derwentwater Arms sits high overlooking the village, and opposite is a perfectly kept cricket pitch, Calver Cricket Club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in the country.
The Derwentwater Arms has great Real Ales always on tap, and their current selection can be found on their website – the beer menu. For those that love the varied tastes of gin, there is an extensive gin menu too.
If you love wine, you will love the selection, normally having at least 20 wines from around the World to complement your meal – here is the wine list.
