The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is a charming C18th village Inn, located on the Chatsworth Estate, with Chatsworth House itself only a short drive away or a picturesque walk, if you prefer. Known for our fine locally sourced food and brewed ales, the Inn serves an array of mouth-watering dishes seven days a week and has an AA rosette rating. The Inn also boasts fourteen stylish and well-appointed rooms and suites, making us the ideal place to stay when visiting Chatsworth and the Peak District National Park.
The main bar area really showcases the character of our gorgeous stone built 18th century Inn. The ceilings still display the original black beams, flagstones worn down over the years adorn the floors and the large open fire continues to warm guests to the Inn.
Newly refurbished, the traditional oak bar blends itself perfectly with the traditional surroundings and serves up to six well-kept changing local ales, several wines by the glass and a good range of malt whiskies – ideal after a day visiting Chatsworth or to enjoy during your stay.
During the day and evening the bar also serves light refreshments, including tea and coffee. The Beeley dining menu can also be enjoyed in the bar area as well as The Brasserie, or indeed one of our outdoor seating areas.
The Brasserie is a bright and spacious dining area located within the main Inn that can also be used as a private function space. Recently refurbished under the expert eye of The Duchess of Devonshire, The Brasserie now boasts a traditional setting with modern décor which has created a delightful restaurant and function space for up to 50 people. The floor-to-ceiling windows allow natural daylight to fill the room and provide views over the stream in to Beeley Village. The Brasserie also provides direct access to the also newly designed Garden Terrace, providing extra seating with heaters if required.
The Devonshire Arms at Beeley has eighteen supremely comfortable bedrooms, each furnished in its own style, and equipped with little extras to make your stay a truly memorable one. Large comfortable beds, luxury towels, wrap around bathrobes and freshly ground coffee on the tea tray add to the attention to detail in room. Our selection of bedrooms range from double rooms to suites, with each room offering outstanding comfort and its own unique style, ideal for short or long stays to the Peak District and Chatsworth House.
Four of our rooms are located in the main Inn, with a further four located a stone’s throw away along the garden path in Brookside House. Six room are located opposite the Inn housed within one of Beeley’s quaint dwellings, Dove Cottage. Our newest additions are in 1 Devonshire Square, featuring four band-new bedrooms. For you, the hard part will be choosing which room to stay in!
We accept well-behaved dogs in Brookside House.
