Alton Towers Scarefest is an award-winning Halloween event returning for 2026. It offers three days and nights of Halloween-themed entertainment, with attractions and activities designed for a range of ages. Whether you’re visiting with friends or bringing the whole family, the event combines scare attractions, live entertainment, and after-dark ride experiences.
What’s On
Frightful Nights
During Scarefest nights, guests can experience selected rides and attractions in darkness, including The Smiler, Nemesis Reborn, and Wicker Man. The event also features terrifying scare attractions with live creatures and themed environments.
Spooky Days
Family-friendly daytime activities include trick-or-treat walkthroughs, rides at dusk, spooky shows, meet-and-greets, and photo opportunities. There are over 40 rides and Halloween attractions available across the resort.
Halloween Family Fun
A family-friendly Halloween area in the Courtyard arena features a multi-coloured playground, spooktacular shows, and appearances from Halloween characters.
CBeebies Land Monster Ball
Families can join favourite CBeebies friends live in Big Fun Showtime for dancing, games, and spooky-themed fun at the Monster Ball.
Dine with the Dead (New for 2026)
An immersive Halloween dining experience featuring a three-course banquet and live entertainment throughout the evening. Guests meet the mysterious Vile family and their peculiar acquaintances, with twisted performances and eerie encounters unfolding around the table. The evening concludes with an after-party featuring music and dancing.
Age restriction: 14+ (under 18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian aged 18+)
