The Old Barn offers six ensuite bedrooms, some of which are located on the ground floor, ideal for those who struggle with stairs. The barn comfortably accommodates 14 guests, or 15 with the use of an additional camp bed. Each of the rooms has been thoughtfully styled with a country cottage feel, many of which retain original features such as timber beams, creating beautiful spaces to relax after a day exploring this wonderful area.
Situated in Swincoe near Ilam, The Old Barn is surrounded by open countryside and breathtaking views, yet conveniently located close to pretty villages, popular towns, and Peak District beauty spots! Even more convenient, there’s a great village pub just a ten-minute walk away, serving delicious home-cooked food, with a children’s play area, overlooking the surrounding countryside!
Explore the pretty lanes of nearby Ilam with a National Trust estate and tearooms, or browse the many independent shops, cafes, and galleries in the market town of Ashbourne.
Dovedale, with its iconic stepping stones, is just 2.5 miles from the door of The Old Barn, perfect for a family walk with a picnic and a paddle.
Only slightly further afield you’ll find the wonderful market town of Bakewell, famed for its Bakewell puddings, with more fabulous shops and eateries. Or the elegant spa town of Buxton, with an abundance of arts to enjoy.
