Here you can enjoy an adventurous getaway in one of their enchanting Treehouses or Hives, surrounded only by swaying trees and wildlife, or treat yourself to a fabulous stay in one of the hotel’s boutique rooms.

Dine in the magnificent Garden Room Restaurant, serving fresh, seasonal meals in a modern, elegant setting, with a wonderful terraced area offering breath-taking views over the surrounding countryside.

During your stay you can relax in the Coach House Wellbeing Area with a sauna or a selection of indulgent pampering treatments. Or you might choose to simply laze away your day in the stunning gardens.

Hotel Boutique Rooms

Wildhive, Callow Hall is a magnificent Victorian country house with 15 brand new, individually decorated boutique rooms. Choose from a ‘Fabulous’, ‘Lovely’, or ‘Cosy’ room, each sleeping two adults on enormous emperor sized beds, or twin beds. (Cots and extra beds can sometimes be accommodated if required.) Each room has been stylishly decorated using a mix of textures and colours, to give a gorgeous, elegant feel.

Fabulous Rooms

The Fabulous rooms are all located on the first floor, providing beautiful views over the hotel grounds and surrounding countryside. Spacious and airy, the rooms also have a free-standing bath, offering everything you might need for a luxurious special break.

Lovely Rooms

Callow Hall’s Lovely rooms also have those stunning views, framed by stone mullion windows, and an ensuite rain shower. Again, uniquely decorated in a calming palette providing the perfect place for a relaxing stay.

Cosy Rooms

Last but by no means least, the Cosy rooms offer an intimate and charming stay. Although cosy, they still accommodate an oversized, sumptuous bed where you can gaze out of the window at the wonderful treescape and gardens that surround these rooms. Also with an ensuite rain shower.

Treehouses and Hives

The Wildhive, Callow Hall Treehouses are out of this world! High in the tree canopy, close and personal to birdsong and wildlife, they are the perfect place for a family stay in the wilderness. Each Treehouse sleeps up to 5 people, with two double bedrooms, an open plan living area (with sofa bed), well-equipped kitchen area, and ensuite bathrooms. Outside, you’ll find wraparound decking with an amazing outdoor bathtub. Enjoy a drink or dine amongst the trees on the decked area, toast marshmallows at the communal fire pit, or pop down to the Garden Room Restaurant for a meal or a cocktail. It really is guaranteed to be an unforgettable stay!

With views through the woods, the eleven Hives are the most idyllic place for a romantic getaway with a difference! Each of the Hives has a king-sized bed, ensuite shower room, chef’s cupboard, fridge, microwave and sink, perfect for 2 people. The open plan interior complements the surrounding landscape, making you feel that you’re in the middle of nowhere when, in reality, the temptation of a cocktail and an intimate meal is only a stone’s throw away at the nearby Garden Room Restaurant.

Dine in The Garden Room Restaurant

Despite its grandeur and elegance, the Garden Room Restaurant offers a laid-back dining experience for both staying guests and visitors wishing to pop in for a bite to eat. Using locally sourced, fresh ingredients, you’ll find an exquisite menu to cater for all tastes. Start your day with breakfast out on the terrace, call in for afternoon tea during your day exploring the fabulous Peak District National Park, or enjoy a romantic evening meal, snuggled in front of a roaring fire.

With a selection of areas to eat and drink, Wildhive, Callow Hall is modern, vibrant, and exciting! Look out for the special Wild Dining evenings in the warmer months, when you can enjoy a meal beneath the stars, with twinkling lights entwined amongst the trees, following by drinks and toasted marshmallows.

Private dining rooms are also available to hire, seating up to 40 guests, or why not hire the whole Garden Room, seating up to 90 guests?!

Explore, Exercise and Pamper in the Coach House

To fully experience the beauty of this location, why not hire bikes during your stay and explore the magnificent grounds and beyond? The helpful team will be able to provide cycling and walking routes for all to enjoy, as well as information about the wildlife, flora and fauna within the grounds, and local places of interest too. Make use of the onsite gym, with interactive equipment to compete against your friends! Or for those not feeling quite so energetic, or for a well-deserved treat after a day out exploring, enjoy a facial, manicure, yoga session, or unwind in the sauna.

Weddings

It will come as no surprise that Wildhive, Callow Hall makes for the most unique and wonderful wedding venue. They are happy to provide an intimate meal for a small gathering in one of their beautiful rooms, or cater for up to 90 guests in the main Garden Room Restaurant. A total of 60 guests could also be accommodated for an overnight stay in the Hotel, Treehouses and Hives too! For the ultimate day to remember, why not hire the whole hotel and grounds?!

Summer Grill Nights – (Last Friday of the month from May to September).
Enjoy the summer evenings as the chefs cook fresh meat, fish and veg to order with delicious side salads, breads, potato dishes and an assortment of desserts. Open to all and with live music, and special summer vibe.

Forest Camp – Tuesday 30th May 2023
(Aimed at 9-12 year olds)

Location

Located near the picturesque Derbyshire town of Ashbourne, Wildhive, Callow Hall is the perfect base from which to explore this fabulous area of the Peak District National Park! Just a short distance away you’ll find the traffic-free former railway line of the Tissington Trail, which is ideal for those wishing to hire bikes. Just four miles away is the picturesque valley of Dovedale, a favourite destination for Peak District visitors. There are many, many more wonderful places to explore, from pretty stone villages, stately homes, rocks to climb and caves to discover. Visit the Map Room in the Coach House for many walking and cycling routes, which of course all detail the all-important pub stops too!
