Scaldersitch Farm Location
Scaldersitch Farm is located just outside the pretty Peak District village of Hartington, renowned for its independent cheese shop, as well as a range of farm shops, gift shops, cafés and pubs. It even has a traditional village duck pond! The village is within easy strolling distance (20 minutes) of the site, and there are many other beautiful walks into the Peak District countryside direct from the doorstep too.
While here, why not try the Let’s Go Peak District walk ‘Hartington Dales‘ (5.4 miles)? It starts and ends in Hartington, and takes you over fields and through beautiful woodland into Beresford Dale and onwards into Wolfscote Dale, where the path runs beside the crystal-clear River Dove that marks the boundary between Derbyshire and Staffordshire. The route then returns through the steep-sided Biggin Dale and back into Hartington on quiet lanes with superb views.
Slightly further afield, the ancient market town of Bakewell is within easy driving distance, as are the beautiful country estates of Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House. In the other direction you’ll find the elegant spa town of Buxton, famed for its Georgian architecture and beautiful Opera House. The deservedly popular beauty spot of Dovedale is also within easy reach for a day out.
Don’t just take our word for it!
Scaldersitch Farm is proud to have been awarded the Trip
Advisor Certificate of Excellence for both years since opening.
Our attention to detail, excellent facilities and stunning location keep guests coming back time and time again, to experience this beautiful spot in all seasons.
