Pick up a map and follow the trail around Leek, collecting treats along the way, to receive a Halloween Goodie Bag at the end. The Village Screen events in Peak Cavern are something rather special! Audiences are seated on comfortable chairs (sofa VIP seating is also available) and this magnificent cave is turned into a natural cinema, adding extra spooky appeal to every screening. There is street food, a bar and live music before each film. During half term the Village Screen is showing the 80s classic hit, Ghostbusters. Head to Crich Tramway Village for a whole week of half term fun, with illuminations, competitions, crafts, circus skills and pirate workshops, shows and entertainment. There are Enchanted Forest trails along the woodland walk all week (bring a torch!). On 31 October there are spooky fun shows and children aged 4-15 who dress in Halloween costumes are admitted free. This is always an impressive and very popular event, so don’t miss out!

Finish off your half term week with a bang, as Chatsworth House are once again celebrating Bonfire Night in spectacular style. This year their theme is the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with ‘an extraordinary voyage into space’. Wrap up warm and enjoy two spectacular firework displays, including an early display for little ones. A selection of delicious food is available, from hog roasts and jacket potatoes to churros and sweet treats. Bonfire lit at 6.30pm.
