Sunshine Pizza Oven is a cornerstone of the Peak District. This proudly local, independent business, established in Hope Valley in 2014, has built a lasting reputation for serving delicious wood-fired pizzas throughout the Peaks, Sheffield, and occasionally further afield.
Run by Dan and Sarah, along with their friendly, experienced team, Sunshine Pizza Oven has become a familiar and much-loved name at community events, small festivals, private parties, weddings, birthdays, and corporate gatherings. They also host regular pop-up pizza nights at Hope Valley Garden Centre, which have become a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike.

Their Neapolitan-style pizzas are made using a carefully chosen mix of organic flours, organic tomatoes, and top-quality toppings, allowing them to cater for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements – without losing the joy (or affordability) of great pizza.
Sunshine Pizza Oven has come a long way since its early days serving climbers and walkers at Stanage car park. Today, their growing fleet includes four mobile pizza ovens, from compact setups for smaller gatherings to a custom-built pizza van and their eye-catching orange wood-fired ovens. This flexibility means they can cater for anything from intimate celebrations to busy festivals – and even run multiple events at once during the peak season.

About the Pizzas!
Sunshine Pizza Oven makes all their own dough and organic tomato sauce, using a special blend of 100% organic flours, much of it stone-ground. The dough is slow-proved, hand-stretched, and cooked in around one minute in wood-fired ovens at high heat, creating a true Neapolitan-style pizza with a thin base and light, airy crust.

Toppings include fresh mozzarella, quality continental meats, local high-welfare ham, and plenty of fresh vegetables and herbs, with vegan and gluten-free options also available. Many people who have struggled with industrial wheat find they can enjoy Sunshine Pizza thanks to the slow-proved, organic dough.
