In their very own microbrewery, Collyfobble Brewery, The Peacock at Barlow is very delighted to manufacture their own “belting good ales from Derbyshire!” Collyfobble Brewery makes its own brand of pale ales, stouts, and bitters on the premises, all of which are crafted with an emphasis on their distinctive flavours.
You can pick from classic beers like mild (Mild, Tha Knows), blonde (Dunna Wittle), bitter (Bob On), or pale ale (Sup-Wiyo). Each of them can be enjoyed at The Peacock at Barlow, of course, but they can also be ordered online as wonderful gifts or purchased in bottles to take with you.
The finest present of all, though, is a private Collyfobble Brewery Tour for you and your pals, which includes a guided tour of the brewery and access to The Peacock at Barlow’s tap room for a delectable two-course meal. All this for only £24.95! ideal for gatherings of 6–12 people!
There is also a fantastic beer tasting option that includes the Collyfobble Brewery Tour and a beer tasting session in the tap room for only £14.95 for those who, like The Peacock, are “all about the beer”!
A great location
The terrace at The Peacock at Barlow offers a great view of the Derbyshire countryside that surrounds the charming village of Barlow. From the door, there are walkways leading to the surrounding Linacre Reservoirs, which are home to a variety of species.
Its convenient location on the outskirts of the Peak District National Park makes it a great starting point for travellers to the region as well as the ideal place to stop for food and beverages after exploring the area.
Visitors can enjoy a variety of walks, stately mansions, villages, and towns in around 15-20 minutes. Explore the spectacular Longhaw Estate grounds and the charming Padley Gorge on this wonderful 8-mile route, or take in the wonderful gritstone borders of Curbar, Froggatt, and Baslow. The magnificent Chatworth House Estate is a great place to spend the day relaxing by the river because it has lovely gardens and acres of deer park. A lot of charming settlements, such Calver and the old village of Eyam, are also easily accessible. The market town of Bakewell, which has a great range of cafes, pubs, and independent stores, is nearby and just the same distance away for those who want a little retail therapy.
