One of the most popular attractions in the Peak District, the Heights of Abraham has been welcoming visitors since the 1780s.

The journey up to the Heights of Abraham is one of the highlights of any visit. Stretching across the steep limestone gorge between Matlock and Matlock Bath runs a cable car service that rises 339 metres to the top of Masson Hill and takes visitors up to the complex. The spectacular trip offers fabulous views of the Derwent Valley during the 2/3 of a mile journey.

Once at the summit, there is plenty within the Heights of Abraham estate to keep visitors occupied, including impressive show caves (included within the price of the cable car ticket), a geology and paleontology museum, a restaurant, an adventure playground, shops, and beautiful woodland walks.
