Peak Village is the place to visit for beautiful homewares, unique gifts, toys, stylish clothing, outdoor wear, beauty products, gins and much more! For the green-fingered visitors, Garden World also has a great range of plants and gardening accessories.

Great Places to Eat

During your visit to Peak Village, why not enjoy a bite to eat in Massarella’s Café or a tasty meal at Chatsworth Kitchen? The children will also love the home-cooked food on offer at the indoor play area, Peak Adventure.

Massarella’s Café serves up hearty breakfasts, hot daily specials such as Sunday lunch, mouthwatering pies and homemade lasagne, together with tasty light bites and pasties. You’ll be spoilt for choice with moreish homemade cakes, freshly baked scones and lovely afternoon tea. (Open daily from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Sundays 10am to 5.00pm.)

Chatsworth Kitchen is a fabulous daytime restaurant serving high quality, seasonal food from the Chatsworth Estate and other local farmers and producers. Here you can enjoy delicious breakfasts including The Chatsworth Estate Breakfast, tempting American style pancakes, and a great lunchtime menu including flatbreads, sandwiches and main meals such as poached salmon, all rounded off with a scrumptious cake or pudding, or treat yourself to afternoon tea!  (Open daily from 9.30am to 5.00pm.)

Peak Adventure – Indoor Play

Peak Adventure is a fantastic indoor play area within Peak Village! This warm, safe space is open seven days a week and is a great place for children to burn off some energy on the four tiers of soft play! There are obstacles to overcome, tag to be played, ball pits to dive in, as well as a racer slide and wobble slides – the kids will love it! You can have peace of mind as the younger toddlers enjoy their very own soft play area, and the up-and-coming football stars will have a blast on the indoor football court! 

There’s also a fabulous café at Peak Adventure with a great menu that the kids will love, with homecooked meals including warm butties, sandwiches, pizzas and a variety of snacks. Why not try out their Breakfast Pizza, which is definitely a firm favourite!

If you’re looking for somewhere to have fun and escape the Great British weather, then Peak Adventure is a must!

Peak Village Nature Reserve

In partnership with the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust, Peak Village also has a lovely nature reserve on its doorstep, which is the perfect place to enjoy a stroll in the fresh air. The nature reserve has been created to provide a peaceful place to enjoy a diverse range of habitats, attracting a variety of insects and wildlife. Follow the trail through the wildflower meadow, woodland and orchard, or simply take a seat and watch the dippers and kingfishers on the banks of the River Derwent. This is a lovely place for everyone to enjoy nature and a great place to exercise the dogs.  Be sure to keep an eye out for seasonal activities and events here too!

Events and Experiences

There’s a fabulous calendar of events and to enjoy at Peak Village – there really is always something going on! There’s wildflower spotting in the flower meadow in the summer, apple pressing in the orchard in the autumn, Halloween events, and a lovely selection of festive craft experiences and Christmas markets. 

During the summer, enjoy an alfresco meal whilst being serenaded with beautiful music, as the restaurants stay open to enjoy the summer sunshine. Check out the Elves Winter Workshops in November and December, and the annual Christmas Market.

Coghlans is a brand new wine and food retail experience, where you can shop their exquisite produce and take part in one of their food experiences where you will learn new skills from Master Chef Simon Lilley.

Peak Village is located on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate, in the picturesque village of Rowsley. Just two miles from Haddon Hall, a beautiful medieval manor house, four miles from the delightful market town of Bakewell, and only five miles from pretty town of Matlock, there is so much to enjoy whilst you are in the area. As Peak Village is dog friendly, it’s a great place to call into after a morning’s walk in one of the many surrounding pretty villages, such as Stanton in Peak, Youlgreave or Beeley, to name just a few.  

There is free car parking on site, however, for those travelling by public transport, there are bus routes and train routes available to view here.
