Blore Hall

To step into Blore Hall is to step back in time

Though perhaps not quite. It’s unlikely that the original residents of Blore Hall enjoyed the use of a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna, tennis court, snooker room and other facilities available to today’s guests. However, to dine in the main banqueting hall at Blore Hall gives a real taste of 14th Century grandeur.

Cottages at Blore Hall

The thirteen cottages at Blore Hall have been beautifully converted from the original outbuildings which surrounded the 16th Century Blore Manor House. Eleven of the cottages enclose a courtyard in the grounds of Blore Hall, whist two further cottages stand alone in a more private setting. The cottages each vary in size, sleeping two to six people, some are pet friendly too, and one has been adapted for wheelchair users, so that everyone has the chance to enjoy the splendour of Blore Hall.

Each of the properties has been luxuriously decorated and styled, to complement both the period features and the essence of the Peak District National Park, while providing modern facilities to allow for a wonderful home-from-home stay. While you may wish to cook your own delicious meal, you also have the chance to have dinner prepared for you, served once a week in the majestic baronial hall. Some of the cottages have views over the surrounding countryside, while some have delightful patios and garden views, each providing a wonderful place to relax in this peaceful setting.

Apartments & Studios at Blore Hall

There are three luxury apartments at Blore Hall, sleeping three, four or six people. Two of the apartments are in the original 16th-Century Hall, providing a reminder of its wonderful past.

Four one-bedroom studios complete the complex at Blore Hall. These neat little single-storey properties sleep two guests with access to a terraced courtyard, and are an ideal base for a holiday, exploring the dramatic scenery and stunning landscapes. .

Both the apartments and studios have been charmingly decorated and include excellent facilities.

Blore Hall’s Landscape Gardens and Fabulous Facilities

The landscaped gardens at Blore Hall are perfectly suited to a mediaeval mansion. Picture well manicured lawns, ideal for picnics and family time, a children’s play area and beautifully maintained borders, bursting with seasonal colour, as well as a picturesque pond.

Other Fabulous HPB Locations

HPB’s portfolio of memorable holiday properties in beautiful locations has been carefully built up over 41 years. It now includes over 1,500 properties in 32 locations across 13 European countries, including over 600 properties in 19 locations in the UK, chiefly located in National Parks and National Landscapes. From the sun-drenched Algarve to the magnificent Scottish Highlands, you could enjoy something different and magical each time you go away.

How it works!  Exclusive holidays for life!

An initial payment from £5,000 and a quarterly fee of under £38 (that is around £150 a year), which can increase in line with but not exceed the Retail Price Index Excluding Mortgage Interest (RPIX), gives you access to all HPB’s holiday homes. For each HPB holiday, you will pay a no-profit user charge covering only property running and maintenance costs and use of on-site facilities. The average charge is the same throughout the year, and for a studio is around £360 a week and £540 for a two bedroom property. Larger properties are also available. After an initial charge of 25% your money is invested in a fund of holiday properties and securities. The fund itself meets annual charges of 2.5% of its net assets at cost, calculated monthly. Your investment return is purely in the form of holidays and, as with most investments, your capital is at risk. You can surrender your investment to the company after two years or more (subject to deferral in exceptional circumstances) but you will get back less than you invested because of the charges referred to above, as well as other overheads and changes in the value of the fund’s properties and securities.
