Dovedale Manor is home to a beautiful country house and coach house, close to the idyllic village of Tissington, sleeping up to 47 guests in total. It’s the perfect place for hosting celebratory gatherings, corporate events, even your dream wedding, all surrounded by beautiful rolling hills in the most picturesque setting!

Guests can choose whether to hire The Coach House for groups of up to 9, the ground floor only of Dovedale Manor for groups of up to 21, the whole of Dovedale Manor for up to 38, or have exclusivity of the whole site for your party of 47!

With a total of seventeen bedrooms (sixteen of which are en-suite), a games room, an enclosed play area, private lawns set in 5 acres of land, Dovedale Manor is a spectacular group accommodation like no other!

Contemporary Open Plan Living

Dovedale Manor is a beautifully converted former public house which has been transformed into a contemporary, luxury, large group accommodation. It has a modern feel yet retains lots of rustic, original features, including timber beams and rugged stone walls, creating a wonderful space to spend time with friends and family.

The magnificent open-plan living space at Dovedale Manor really does have the wow factor! With windows on all sides, bi-fold doors and high ceilings, it’s a bright airy space, with plenty of room for everyone. In the living area you’ll find seven huge sofas for guests to relax on whilst watching their favourite shows on the large wall-mounted smart TV. There is also underfloor heating and two roof-mounted air conditioning units, so you’re sure to be warm and cosy in the colder months, and nice and cool in the summer months.

The dining area is fabulous, with stylish seating for up to 40 guests, which can be flexibly rearranged to suit various layouts, such as large banquets, intimate wedding tables, or conference style seating.

The modern kitchen is crisp and clean, and has been designed with large groups in mind, so there’s lots of space for everyone to rustle up breakfast or a lavish evening meal. With 8 hobs, 2 ovens, 3 large fridges, a large freezer, 2 dishwashers and plenty of pots, pans and crockery, you can prepare something delicious. Or perhaps ask Dovedale Manor about hiring your very own chef for the night!

There is also a handy laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

In addition to the main living space, there’s also a great games room with smart TV, darts board, and bar, where you can really get the party started!

Thirteen Stylish En-suite Bedrooms

There are thirteen stylish, en-suite bedrooms at Dovedale Manor, all of which have been beautifully decorated and furnished. Most rooms have a mix of twin and double beds, which can be adjusted to suit your group’s requirements. Five of these rooms are on the first floor and eight on the ground floor, one of which is an accessible room with a bathroom suitable for those with mobility issues.

Each of the thirteen rooms have their own modern bathroom, with showers and/or baths, together with soft fluffy towels.

The Coach House – Sleeps 9

Stylish Open Plan Living

The Coach House has the same contemporary feel as Dovedale Manor, all set on the ground floor, making it ideal for every member of the family, including those with mobility issues. Here you’ll find another stylish open-plan living space with huge bi-fold doors which open out into the garden, offering wonderful views over Dovedale, enabling you to connect with the outdoors.

There are three large sofas and a wall mounted smart TV, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring this wonderful area. There is also underfloor heating throughout, to keep you warm and snug in the cooler months.

The kitchen has all the modern appliances you could need, including an oven, hob, dishwater, and washer/dryer, which can be found in the utility room. The cupboards are well stocked with all essential cookware, so you can prepare your meals and enjoy them at the large dining table.

Four Bedrooms & Bathrooms

The Coach House has four bright, airy bedrooms, sleeping 9 people in total. There are two family rooms each with a double and single bed, one double room, and one single room. Three of the rooms are ensuite, one of which is an accessible room with disabled wet room. The other two en-suites are modern shower rooms, one of which also has a bath.

Fabulous Outdoor Space

The large bi-fold doors within the open plan living space at Dovedale Manor and The Coach House open to the spectacular outdoor space, set in 5 acres of private land. Each have a beautiful stone terrace with dining tables and chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue, enabling the group to easily mix inside and out.

Guests also have the use of their own private field, which is great for those wishing to hire marquees, or to enjoy some good old-fashioned fun such as a game of rounders, or somewhere for the children to run free. The children will also enjoy the enclosed children’s play area with climbing frames and slide.

There is also ample, secure parking for all guests, as well as an EV charging point.

Celebrations, Wedding & Conferences

The luxurious open plan socialising space at Dovedale Manor, coupled with the fabulous outdoor area with terraces, a private lawn and stunning views over the surrounding countryside, makes for the most spectacular venue and romantic setting for celebratory gatherings, commercial events and picturesque weddings. With enough beds for up to 47 guests, there’s plenty of room for all your party to stay together.

With period architectural features, exquisite interiors and manicured gardens and lawns, you have the luxury of hotel type accommodation, with the flexibility and privacy to make it yours to suit your own requirements.

The large private lawn also provides a great extension to your venue as marquees can be added to create a dream wedding setting or disco perhaps. There is also room for bucking broncos, catering facilities, etc. Or, why not treat your party to your very own chef which Dovedale Manor can arrange on your behalf?

Being so close to the magnificent Tissington Hall, which is another wonderful wedding venue, Dovedale Manor makes an excellent base for the wedding party and guests.

Unbeatable Location

Dovedale Manor is located close to Tissington, one of Derbyshire’s most idyllic villages, with easy access from the A515 which runs through the centre of the Peak District, giving you great access to many more pretty villages, bustling market towns and scenic walks.

Tissington itself is just a 15-minute stroll along a country lane through beautiful countryside. It really is the most picturesque village with beautiful stone cottages and gorgeous gardens, all nestled around a pretty duck pond. The whole village is owned by the FitzHerbert family who own Tissington Hall, whose grandeur wows you as you wonder through this intriguing little village. Whilst there, you can also enjoy refreshments at the Fine English Tea Rooms before browsing the many independent shops. The village also has six ancient wells, which are all dressed each year for the famous Tissington Well Dressings.

For those who enjoy cycling, The Tissignton Trail is just 5-10 minutes away. This is a lovely traffic-free route running from Parsley Hay to Ashbourne, perfect for walkers and cyclists.

For those who prefer to drive, the popular town of Ashbourne can also be reached by car in just under 10 minutes. Here you’ll find a great range of independent shops, High Street favourites, bars and restaurants.

Just a couple of miles from Dovedale Manor are the famously picturesque Dovedale stepping stones, and nearby Thorpe Cloud with fabulous views, each of which make for a wonderful day out exploring the area.

In just 15 minutes you can be at Carsington Water, a beautiful reservoir perfect for a leisurely walk or cycle and great for spotting wildlife. Here can also enjoy a variety of water sports and leisure activities.
