Coaching Inn and Traditional Free House

The Manifold Inn is a fabulous 200 year old Coaching Inn, set within its own tranquil grounds on the banks of the Manifold River in the pretty village of Hulme End. With 12 ensuite rooms, and a two-bedroomed, dog-friendly, holiday cottage, it’s the perfect, peaceful, base to enjoy this beautiful area of the Peak District. Although hidden away in a secluded spot, the Manifold Inn is close to lots of popular walking and cycling routes, including the Manifold Trail, making it ideal for those wishing to stop off for a drink or a delicious home cooked meal whilst out walking or cycling. Dogs are welcome to join you in the bar and conservatory area and enjoy the field, which also has a fabulous field bar during the summer months! The perfect place to cool down with a refreshing beer!

Ensuite Rooms

The Manifold Inn has 12 delightful, ensuite bedrooms, situated either in the Inn itself, or within two delightful on-site barns. There are a mix of double, king-sized, and super king-sized bedrooms sleeping 2 people. There are also four triple rooms with double bed and day bed, so could sleep up to 4.

Each of the rooms have been stylishly decorated to create a clean, warm, comfortable feel, with plenty of storage space, and all have a modern ensuite shower room, some of which include baths, available on request.

Some of the rooms are dog friendly too – so your four-legged friend can join you on your adventure. Free Wi-Fi is also available in all rooms.

All room prices include a delicious home-cooked breakfast, perfect before you head out in to the Peak District National Park.

Innkeepers Cottage – Sleeping 4-5

The Innkeepers Cottage at The Manifold Inn is a delightful, dog-friendly cottage with two bedrooms. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge, making it ideal for families.

The lounge/kitchen area is semi open plan, separated by a few steps. The cosy lounge area has a smart TV, perfect for relaxing in front of after a day exploring the White Peak.

With exposed original brickwork, giving a lovely country field, the kitchen area includes a fridge freezer and an oven with hob, together with all essentials to ensure a home-from-home stay. Tea and coffee are also provided.  

The two double bedrooms are crisp, clean, bright and spacious, one of which is en suite. There is also an additional shower and toilet on the ground floor.

You also have access to the field attached to the Manifold Inn which has a Field Bar open from May to August.

Restaurant

The helpful, friendly staff can’t wait to welcome you to The Manifold Inn, serving delicious home-cooked breakfasts, lunches, dinners, packed lunches and even a takeaway menu in the summer months.

All meals are home-cooked using fresh ingredients from local suppliers, providing a seasonal and varied menu, including a mix of meat, fish and vegetarian options, as well as a gorgeous traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. 

All meals can be enjoyed in the bar, restaurant, cosy snug or bright airy conservatory. (Dogs are welcome in both the bar and conservatory.)

The Manifold Inn also offers a great selection of ales, wines, ciders, and soft drinks, so feel free to stop off for a refreshing drink too! In the summer months, the large adjoining field has a fabulous Field Bar, so you can sit outside and relax with a drink whilst the children are free to enjoy themselves.

Location

The Manifold Inn is fabulously located close to several popular walking and cycling routes, including the Manifold Trail and Manifold Way, with natural and unspoilt scenery. The Manifold Inn is the perfect place to use as a base for exploring this beautiful area of the Peak District or to visit the local market towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne and spa towns of Buxton and Matlock.
