Gorgeous Shepherd’s Hut for Two

Peak District Shepherds Huts at Twitchill Farm in Hope is home to a gorgeous little shepherd’s hut for two people, in the most spectacular setting in the heart of the Peak District, with breathtaking views over Castleton and Hope. The shepherd’s hut is beautiful both inside and out, and the location is wonderful with many popular walking routes right from the door, so you can simply park the car up, and enjoy everything that this fabulous area has to offer.

Peak District Shepherds Huts’ first hut has been designed with so much attention to detail, providing the most gorgeous base for a glamping holiday. You’ll arrive to motion-sensor lighting, so despite the countryside setting, your little hut will be welcoming you as soon as you arrive after a day exploring this wonderful area. As soon as you enter, you’ll love the spectacular views over Castleton, Hope and the surrounding countryside, which can be admired from the French doors. Fully insulated, double glazed, and with underfloor heating, this delightful shepherd’s hut is warm and cosy all year round.  

Inside you will find a cleverly designed corner sofa, with under-seat storage, and a small dining table, from where you can watch your favourite shows on the wall-mounted smart TV whilst enjoying a bite to eat.

Come evening, you can then convert this area into a cosy comfortable bedroom, with pull down double bed, with memory foam mattress, where you can then snuggle up and watch TV from the comfort of your bed.

The kitchen area has solid oak worktops, a Belfast sink and copper taps, giving a real country feel. Here you’ll also find an induction hob, microwave, small fridge/freezer and all essential pots, pans and crockery to enable you to rustle up breakfast, lunch and dinner. Complimentary tea, coffee and cookies are also provided. (There is also a handy shared utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, which can be used for a small charge.)

One of the wonderful features of Peak District Shepherds Huts is the hut’s shower room with a double walk-in shower, toilet, sink, heated de-mister mirror, and heated towel rail.

The shepherd’s hut also has free Wi-Fi, sockets and wireless charging points.

All bed linen and towels are provided.


Beautiful Terrace with Spectacular Views

The fabulous French Doors at Peak District Shepherds Huts open up on to the gorgeous terrace. The elevated setting provides the most amazing views over Castleton and Hope which can be enjoyed from dawn till dusk, either from the comfort of the hut or at the bistro table on the patio. There is also a barbecue so that you can prepare breakfast, or enjoy alfresco dining up your return at the end of the day.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, this is the most peaceful setting, with so much to see and enjoy all year round. Wake to the sound of birdsong and enjoy the clear starry skies in the evening.

Outside there is also parking, so that you can simply park the car up and enjoy everything this little hut and surrounding area has to offer.

Idyllic Location

Peak District Shepherds Huts is perfectly nestled between the popular little village of Hope and the stunning Ladybower Reservoir, with numerous walks right from the door.

Hope, a bustling village with a great selection of cafes, pubs and shops, is just a mile away from Peak District Shepherds Huts, making it ideal for those who prefer to dine out in one of the many local pubs and cafes. 

Ladybower Reservoir can be reached by public footpaths from the door of Peak District Shepherds Huts in just under an hour, or by car in approximately 15 minutes. Walks around Ladybower Reservoir are gorgeous in all seasons, with heather on the moorlands in the summer and the most dramatic colours in the autumn. Why not tick off Win Hill en route, which is a great little climb with beautiful views over Ladybower and beyond, including Bamford Edge, another fabulous walk overlooking the reservoir.

The popular village of Castleton is just 2.5 miles away, again with a great selection of bars and restaurants, and famous for pretty Christmas lights and the mighty Mam Tor, which is another spectacular walk that can be enjoyed from the door. Here you can also enjoy the Peak District underground in one of the area’s many show caverns.

Being so central to the Peak District, there are many other fabulous villages and towns that can be reached by foot, bike, bus, or car from Peak District Shepherds Huts.
