Excellent Facilities

The four Peak Pods are named Chestnut, Rowan, Hawthorn and Willow. They have been crafted using larch wood, insulated with mineral wool, and lined with pine. They each also have the bonus of a radiator in the living space and a heated towel rail in the bathroom, so you’re sure to be warm and toasty in the colder months, yet nice and cool in the summer months.

The living and sleeping spaces at Peak Pods are so inviting! Tucked snug and cosy at the back of the pods is a comfortable double bed. There is also a sofa bed in the living area, providing room for 2 more guests. Here you’ll also find a table for up to 4 people, perfect for those wishing to dine in, or taking the opportunity to enjoy some family time playing board games. There are also handy electric points and a Bluetooth speaker system.

……and for those wanting to rustle up a hearty breakfast or who fancy a spot of al fresco dining, there’s a Weber Charcoal BBQ out on the patio too.

One of the many great things about Peak Pods is the excellent ensuite facilities, that saves glampers having to run to shower blocks in all weathers or in the middle of the night! Each of the Peak Pods has a heated shower, wash basin, toilet and warm fluffy towels! On site at Peak Pods there is a natural woodland which children will love to explore and make dens. Here you’ll also find a communal fire pit, so remember to bring your torch and those all-important marshmallows!

There is parking for one car per Pod. Due to the nature of the working farm, sorry, no pets are allowed.

For those with a caravan, there is also a small 5 van CAMC CL site on the farm.

Wonderful Location

Peak Pods are in a fabulous location to explore this beautiful area of the Peak District National Park. The pretty hamlet of Alport is just a five-minute walk away, where the picturesque dales and rivers of Lathkill and Bradford meet. Youlgreave is just a mile away with three pubs serving food and a selection of tea rooms.

The walk through Lathkill Dale is an absolute delight, following the course of the river through limestone gorges, heading through to the pretty village of Monyash with a country pub and village pond, then back via Youlgreave for a well-deserved drink or piece of cake. Likewise, the riverside walk via Bradford Dale is another beautiful route with lots of inviting picnic spots and even places to wild swim! There are more footpaths leading directly from Peak Pods, including The Limestone Way, and routes to other neighbouring villages such as Stanton in Peak, with a popular village pub, Birchover, where you can explore the impressive Stanton Moor, and the nearby pretty village of Rowsley. Even better, you can reach one of the most beautiful medieval manor houses in the country, Haddon Hall, which is just a couple of miles away via footpaths from the door!

Just three miles away is the small market town of Bakewell, where you’ll find independent shops, tempting tea rooms and a great selection of bars and restaurants. There’s always lots to enjoy in Bakewell, with annual shows, Christmas markets, and most importantly, the largest market in Derbyshire every Monday with over 100 stalls!

Just a short drive away, there are many other wonderful villages and places of interest to explore and enjoy. Head to the ‘seaside town’ of Matlock Bath with a selection of shops, fish and chip shops, arcades and a boating lake, plus take a ride in the cable cars at The Heights of Abraham. Maybe try water sports at Carsington Water or enjoy the fabulous grounds of Chatsworth House.

Peak Pods are so cosy and the views so splendid that you might not want to leave. But if you do manage to drag yourself away, you’ll be spoilt for choice for beautiful places to visit and fabulous things to enjoy!
