The Devonshire Arms at Beeley is an 18th Century Traditional Inn, situated in a picture-perfect village within the fabulous Chatsworth Estate. On the banks of the Beeley Brook, and surrounded by beautiful countryside, it’s the ideal place for walkers to enjoy a refreshing drink, a delicious meal, or to stay over in one of their exquisite boutique rooms or suites, some of which are dog-friendly too!

There is a choice of places to drink and dine at The Devonshire Arms at Beeley. The Garden Terrace provides a place to relax in the fresh air, listening to the sound of the babbling brook with heaters and pretty lights, making it ideal for summer days through to cooler evenings. The Brasserie has a modern, elegant feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow diners to enjoy views over the brook through to the pretty village of Beeley. For those who prefer a more traditional, rustic setting, head for the Inn with flagstone floors and a roaring fire.

The Malt Vault is a traditional space for private hire for up to 12 people, ideal for family gatherings away from the main Inn.

Wine & Dine

Whether you’re stopping for breakfast, a light bite to eat, dinner, or Sunday lunch at The Devonshire Arms at Beeley, you won’t be disappointed. The menu has a fabulous selection of mouth-watering meals, using locally sourced seasonal produce, enabling the chefs to create a varied, tasty menu, which has been awarded an AA Rosette.

For dinner choose from likes of Fish of the Day, Pheasant Breast, Pumpkin Panna Cotta, or a fabulous Ribeye Steak. For those stopping off some something lighter, there’s a great selection of sandwiches and light bites to choose from before you head back out into this stunning part of the Peak District National Park.

The drinks menu is equally as impressive, with a great selection of craft ales, fine wines and one of the most extensive gin menus in Derbyshire! Coffees, teas and hot chocolates are also available.


Accommodation

Should you wish to stay longer at The Devonshire Arms at Beeley, you’ll be spoilt for choice with their 18 beautifully-styled boutique rooms! Some of the rooms are within the Inn itself and some in adjacent cottages which are just a stone’s throw away from the Inn. Some are accessible rooms and some are dog-friendly, so please ask for more details. The rooms have been decorated and styled to the highest standard, giving each one a wonderful, individual feel, and guaranteeing a comfortable stay.

The Classic Rooms have either a double or twin beds, with spacious bathroom and shower. The Peakdale is a lovely open-plan room with a roll-top bath, and the Ashop Room is an accessible room with wet room.

The Deluxe rooms are a mix of double and king-size rooms (which can be made into a twin), most with desk, and each with a crisp, clean bathroom with shower. The Kinder Room is another accessible room with wet room, shower and bath.

Finally, there are the Luxury Suites, which ooze countryside grandeur. Each room has a king-sized bed and separate lounge with sofa bed, making the suites perfect for couples and families.

Location

Beeley is a gorgeous little village, with stone cottages lining quiet lanes, situated within the Chatsworth Estate. Almost equal distance between Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, it is the perfect place to explore the grounds of these beautiful stately homes.  

There are many walks from the door of The Devonshire Arms at Beeley, and just a short stroll takes you up to Beeley Moor which is carpeted with heather in the summer and has fabulous views over the Derwent Valley. Or take a stroll to other nearby villages of Edensor and Pilsley.

Just five miles away you will find the market town of Bakewell, with independent shops, cafes and pubs, and more picturesque walks along the River Wye. There really is so much to see in this fabulous area!
