Guests can enjoy breakfast at the weekends in the bright airy dining room, by the wood burning stove, or out in the beer garden, relaxing in the sunshine with the peaceful sounds of birdsong. The traditional Derbyshire breakfast has all the trimmings including a tasty Derbyshire oatcake, with vegetarian and vegan breakfasts available too. Or choose from a range of breakfast sandwiches, all served on soft Bakewell Bakery bread, mouthwatering pancakes or a good old hearty porridge ready to start your day.

Main Meals – Served Daily from 12pm to 8pm

Homecooked meals are served daily from 12pm to 8pm at The Robin Hood with a varied menu. There’s a range of appetising starters such as chicken liver pate, served with Bakewell Bakery toasted sourdough bread and red onion marmalade, and a great selection of freshly prepared main meals. Choose from burgers, steaks, sandwiches and wraps, and lots of traditional favourites such as steak and ale pie, or something a little different like lentil and chickpea dhal. Of course, the Sunday roast with roasties and seasonal vegetables is a firm favourite, followed by tempting desserts such as original Bakewell Pudding or orange and cranberry torte!

There really is something for everyone, especially the children with a fabulous children’s menu, and remember, children under 8 eat free with any paying adult! Children can choose from starters such as homemade soup and halloumi fries, with firm favourites to keep them happy for mains such as chicken nuggets, pizza or a traditional Sunday Roast, all polished off with a dessert such as sticky toffee pudding or ice-cream. They’re sure to be happy, and you’ll be equally as happy with the price!

Located on the edge of the popular Peak District village of Baslow, The Robin Hood beckons families with its prime location and nearby attractions. Within a leisurely ten-minute drive, visitors can explore so many wonderful places!

Magnificent Chatsworth House, with its stunning deer park, beautiful gardens, and excellent farmyard and playpark, offers endless entertainment for all the family. Chatsworth’s famous country fair and Christmas markets are walkable from The Robin Hood with free parking for patrons and a payable carpark next door, redeemable when eating at The Robin Hood.

The Monsal Trail, a traffic free walking and cycling route, passes through the most stunning White Peak scenery on its route from Bakewell to Chee Dale. Bikes can be hired from nearby Hassop, again providing another wonderful family day out.

There are many nearby gems like the charming village of Ashford in the Water where you can relax at the side of the tranquil river and browse the narrow lanes lined with pretty cottages. Or explore the picturesque village of Eyam, discovering the incredible history of this former plague village.
