Sleeping up to 4 people in two large bedrooms, Tick Tock Cottage is the ideal place for a getaway for families or friends in this stunning part of the country!

Tick Tock Cottage Accommodation

Renovated to a high, modern standard, Tick Tock Cottage really is the perfect place from which to enjoy Baslow and the surrounding Peak District countryside.

The open-plan, ground floor living area is light and airy, offering plenty of room for your family or friends. With solid oak flooring and gas central heating throughout, Tick Tock Cottage feels warm and snug all year round.

The lounge area is spacious and comfortable, with modern leather sofas to recline on and a TV with a full Sky package offering all channels, plus superfast broadband – ideal for cosy evenings in after a day exploring the local countryside!

The lounge leads into the kitchen area with an oak dining table and breakfast bar. The fully-fitted kitchen has solid oak worktops and stainless-steel units, giving a modern, clean feel. A welcome pack of essentials is always provided with compliments – the usual milk, bread, butter and biscuits, plus a local delicacy, Bakewell pudding!

All essential electrical appliances can be found in the separate utility room, including a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer, coffee machine and even a steamer. Plus there’s a cloakroom providing extra storage for coats, boots, pushchairs, etc, and a handy downstairs toilet.

Head upstairs to the first floor at Tick Tock Cottage and you’ll find two Super King-sized bedrooms, which can accommodate four single beds if preferred. The master bedroom includes a smart TV, and the second bedroom has blackout blinds to encourage an undisturbed night’s sleep for the children!

The family bathroom upstairs has a bath and separate shower cubicle, with a marble tiled floor.

Outside at Tick Tock Cottage there’s a delightful garden with well-stocked borders. It’s the perfect place to relax with a glass of wine or a beer after a day exploring, whilst the children run around on the private lawned area. The patio area has a table with chairs and a gas barbecue, ideal for a bit of al fresco dining.

There’s also a secured shed that provides safe storage for your bikes etc, should you wish to bring them, to enjoy the many cycle routes that the Peak District National Park has to offer.

Tick Tock Cottage is located on the edge of the beautiful village of Baslow, in the heart of the Peak District. Surrounded by breathtaking countryside and gritstone crags, it’s ideal for rock climbing or for walkers wanting to enjoy the wide open hills.

With a great selection of pubs, independent restaurants and small shops, Baslow is an ideal base for your Peak District adventures. It’s also within walking distance of the magnificent Chatsworth House, with its opulent interiors and acres of wonderful formal gardens and parkland.

The lovely market town of Bakewell is just 5 miles away. It’s full of quaint cottages on cobbled streets, a wealth of independent shops, restaurants and cafes – not to mention plenty of places to sample the famous Bakewell pudding! Very close to Bakewell is the stunning Haddon Hall, a beautifully preserved Medieval manor house and a perfect destination for a day out.
