Church Cottage has two inviting living spaces in which you can relax and unwind after a day exploring the surrounding Peak District, ideal for families who wish to have their own space.

Leading directly off the kitchen, the cosy snug is the perfect place to snuggle up with a book whilst dinner is being prepared, or afterwards with a glass of wine or coffee in front of the crackling wood-burning stove.

The bright and airy lounge is another welcoming space, with beautiful floral accents and another wood-burning stove. Here you can relax in front of the TV with a movie night or challenge your family and friends to one of the many board games available.

The heart of Church Cottage undoubtedly lies in the stunning kitchen with a beautiful, vaulted ceiling and exposed original oak timber beams creating a sense of grandeur. The floor-to-ceiling patio doors allow in lots of natural light which open to connect the delightful dining space to the private courtyard.

The custom-made units in contemporary green and cream provide plenty of storage and house all the essential cookware you’ll need to prepare a delicious meal. Family and friends can gather around the large dining table with seating for 8 people, all in the warmth of the traditional Double Aga, adding a touch of timeless charm.

There are four beautifully styled king-sized bedrooms at Church Farm, each with their own rustic features such as exposed stonework and gorgeous timber beams, complemented by pretty floral designs and modern finishing touches.

All bedrooms have en-suite facilities, allowing everyone their own privacy. Three of the rooms have large, modern showers, and one has the added luxury of a stunning roll top bath. Each of the en-suites carry that same stylish feel, with the same level of luxury including underfloor heating and heated towel rails.

Church Cottage has a delightful, secluded courtyard, which is a tranquil extension to the cottage itself. It’s the perfect place to relax with a morning coffee as this delightful little village comes alive. The farmhouse kitchen’s double-height patio doors seamlessly connect the kitchen to the courtyard, creating an effortless flow for social gatherings and al fresco dining.

Baslow is a lovely village with pretty stone cottages and a traditional village green, with a tearoom and a park. Here you’ll also find independent shops, tempting you with local finds, a great selection of bars and restaurants, and even a Michelin Star fine dining restaurant at Baslow Hall.

Baslow is situated on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate and guests at Church Cottage can enjoy a leisurely 1.5 mile stroll along the river to Chatsworth House. This magnificent stately home has beautifully landscaped gardens, acres of open parkland, perfect for picnicking by the river, as well as a fabulous farm shop and a farmyard with adventure play park which the children will love.

Overlooking Baslow are the fabulous gritstone ridges of Baslow and Curbar Edge, which are ideal for rock climbing, and provide wonderful walking routes with breathtaking views over Baslow and neighbouring villages. Here you can often spot gorgeous Highland Cows, which graze the land here. Why not try this eight mile route across Froggatt, Curbar and Baslow Edges, starting at the nearby National Trust Longshaw Estate, which takes in some the finest views of the Peak District?

For those who like to browse the shops, just five miles from Church Cottage is the delightful town of Bakewell, with lots of independent shops, bars and cafes. No visit to Bakewell is complete without delicious fish and chips by the side of the river, and a visit to The Old Original Bakewell Pudding Shop!
