Mill Cottage is a beautiful holiday cottage, part of an old converted silk mill, located in the historic Peak District village of Eyam. Offering cosy, comfortable self-catering accommodation for up to 4 people, it is ideally located for exploring the Peak District, Derbyshire and South Yorkshire.

Mill Cottage Accommodation

Mill Cottage is a cosy, comfortable cottage with two bedrooms, perfect for up to 4 adults.

Downstairs you’ll find an entrance porch for boots and coats, a lounge with a wood-burning stove (initial fuel supplied), TV and DVD, and a spacious, fully-fitted kitchen/diner with fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine.

Upstairs there are two double bedrooms, both with double beds. Within the master bedroom there is also a sofa bed which can be made up on request. The fully fitted bathroom is also upstairs. Beds are made up with fresh linen and towels are supplied.

To the rear of the cottage is a small courtyard with a table and chairs, perfect for enjoying peaceful afternoons or al-fresco dining watching the sun set. There is off-road parking available for guests.

Mill Cottage Location

Mill Cottage is situated only a short distance from the centre of Eyam, known as the ‘plague village’. It’s a fascinating place to explore with a tragic but inspiring history.

Within the village you’ll find many points of interest, including a museum dedicated to the area’s story, a Visitor Information Centre and a stunning Jacobean mansion, Eyam Hall, with a café and a courtyard of craft shops. Eyam also boasts a traditional country inn and numerous independent shops, cafés and tea rooms.

The countryside surrounding Eyam is wonderful, with quiet lanes, gently rolling hills and wooded valleys. There are a great many walks from the front door of Mill Cottage for all levels of walker.

Slightly further afield but still within easy reach you’ll find the pretty market town and the country estates of Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. The treasures of Castleton, with its four show caverns and the romantic ruins of Peveril Castle, are also close by.
