The breakfasts at the Lathkil Hotel are legendary! Served in the bright, airy dining room, with those fantastic views, the full breakfast boasts sausage and black pudding all locally obtained from the New Close Farm shop, just across the fields, and smoked bacon from Critchlow’s of Bakewell. Add in local free-range eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, and speciality Derbyshire oatcakes, and you’ll be set up for whatever the day holds! Alternatively, smoked haddock or kippers are available. This is all in addition to assorted juices, cereals, yoghurt, toast, fruit, tea & coffee.

At lunchtime the food is served buffet-style, with everything laid out for you to choose from. There is a wide choice of home-made food, from light choices such as soup with a crusty roll or filled rolls with a salad garnish; through to main meals like venison casserole, lasagne or a ham salad, as well as vegetarian alternatives, all accompanied by a range of salads or delicious chips and peas. There is also a great selection of puddings.

Lunches are served from 12 noon till 2.00pm Monday to Friday, and 12 noon till 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

A more extensive a la carte menu is available in the evening.

On Friday and Saturday evenings, the restaurant is invitingly laid out to accommodate diners. From Sunday through to Thursday, patrons can eat in a more informal setting, either in the dining room or in the bar.
