Lathkil Hotel – Surroundings
Over Haddon is a small but very picturesque Peak District village, set peacefully amidst the rolling fields of the White Peak and located on a hill overlooking the beautiful Lathkill Dale.
There is no shortage of lovely walks from the Lathkil Hotel down to the River Lathkill, and the routes down are well sign-posted. The River Lathkill is particularly clear, and there are even designated swimming areas along the course of the river. Its grassy banks make perfect picnic spots. From Lathkill Dale the river runs to join with the River Wye.
Over Haddon is also within easy walking distance of the pretty market town of Bakewell and the stunning country estate of Haddon Hall, the latter from which it takes its name.
