The full Lathkil Hotel breakfast is almost Victorian in scale, boasting sausage and black pudding all locally obtained from the New Close Farm shop, just across the fields and smoked bacon from Critchlows of Bakewell. You will also experience local free-range eggs, mushrooms, tomato and a local speciality, the Derbyshire oatcake which is not to be missed. Alternatively Smoked Haddock or Kippers are available. This is all in addition to assorted juices, cereals, yoghurt, toast, tea & coffee and fruit which will also be available within the tariff.

Our Food

At lunchtime food is served buffet-style, with everything laid out for you to see. There is a wide choice of home-made food ranging from snacks, such as soup with a crusty roll or filled rolls with a salad garnish, to main meals like venison casserole, lasagne or ham salad, as well as vegetarian alternatives accompanied by a range of salads or delicious chips and peas. There is also a great selection of puddings. Lunches are served from 12noon till 2.00pm Monday to Friday, and 12noon till 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

A more extensive a la carte menu is available in the evening. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the restaurant is invitingly laid out to accommodate our diners. On these evenings, guests who have a dog may eat in the bar. From Sunday through to Thursday, our patrons can eat in a more informal setting, either in the dining room or in the bar.  In the summer months it is also possible to eat in our Beer Terrace.

We strongly advise booking a table, particularly if you would like a window table with the fabulous view.
