Villager Jim’s Cottage is small but very perfectly formed. Built in the 1700s, this little stone hideaway is full of charm and character, and it’s the perfect base from which to explore the Peak District. Here, you can forget the stresses of your busy lifestyle and enjoy the peace of country lanes and wildlife literally on your doorstep.

Villager Jim’s Cottage is beautifully-appointed, with elegant Laura Ashley furniture, solid wood flooring and a cosy wood-fired stove to relax in front of. Although compact and bijoux, it has high ceilings, which makes it feel spacious and airy. It has a luxurious double bed, a comfortable sofa, a well-equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with shower.

Outside you’ll find the prettiest patio garden with an outside table and chairs, a Weber BBQ, and a secure gated area that’s pet-safe.

The little village of Foolow is sleepy and rural in all the right ways, but that’s not to say that Villager Jim’s Cottage lacks modern conveniences. It has a 32” high-definition TV, its own Netflix account for movies, and the fastest broadband in the UK!

Location, location, location

Foolow is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It has a country inn that serves good food and real ales (The Bulls’s Head), plus its very own duck pond. Sweet little stone houses line the twisty lanes, and the village is surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside as far as the eye can see. There are stunning walks in every direction, where you can enjoy the wildlife and soak up that fresh air.
