The Trees of Haddon Medieval Park

Go behind the scenes into the private parkland that surrounds Haddon Hall and discover the beautiful acres of Haddon Medieval Park. The trees are the heart of this ancient landscape, and more than 40 species have been recorded here. Each one provides a home for a myriad of different birds, small animals and insects, as well as rare lichen and fascinating fungi.

This year we are delighted to welcome back Jason Ingamells FRGS to lead two Tree Walks in Haddon Medieval Park. Jason has decades of professional experience leading wildlife expeditions both in the UK and internationally, and has worked with the BBC, the Royal Geographical Society, the Eden Project and the National Forest. He is passionate about the countryside and sharing his extensive knowledge with others. For 2-3 hours, walking at a gentle pace with plenty of opportunities for observation and photography, Jason will escort you around the different woodland areas within the Medieval Park to discover and appreciate Haddon’s trees and their associated wildlife.

This event is suitable for everyone over the age of 18 with a reasonable level of fitness. The walk covers a distance of around 1-2 miles with gentle ascents and descents.

Your ticket includes a complimentary tea or coffee in our restaurant after the walk, as well as half-price admission to Haddon Hall and its beautiful gardens on the same day.
