Bloom Bar and Grill

Inside Bloom Bar and Grill you’ll find beautifully styled rooms, which have a modern, yet rustic feel. The floral spiral room has been inspired by the flower-filled gardens of neighbouring Eyam Hall, where flowers climb the stone walls, with a gorgeous spiral staircase leading to Upper Barn. The rooms have a bright airy feel with lots of little cosy corners with lamps and comfy chairs for those quieter moments or post-dinner drinks.

Outside, guests can unwind in the pretty courtyard setting in the open sunshine or take shade or shelter in the heated booths for a little intimacy.

Bloom Bar and Grill is the perfect place to call in for coffee and cake, meet with friends for a delicious meal, or to relax with a pint of local ale or a carefully crafted cocktail.

All Day Menu – A bistro type selection to suit all tastes, which is modern with seasonal dishes using fresh locally-sourced ingredients and daily specials. Enjoy a selection of tempting nibbles such as olives and crusty bread for dipping in creamy aioli. To start, choose from a steaming bowl of homemade soup, crispy spring rolls, or tangy chilli tofu, perfect for vegetarians. There’s a great main course selection, from colourful fresh salads, delicious fish dishes, hearty mains such as cottage pie, and no menu is complete without a selection of sizzling steaks, cooked to your exact preference.

Of course, don’t forget to leave room for dessert! Bloom Bar and Grill’s tempting puddings are the perfect way to end your meal with hot and cold classics as well as moreish Hartington cheese.

Picturesque, Historic Location

Bloom Bar and Grill is located in the centre of the delightful village of Eyam, which attracts many visitors to the Peak District due to its fascinating history and stunning surrounding countryside.

Back in the 1600s Eyam was the site of an outbreak of the bubonic plague, so the locals decided to quarantine themselves from the rest of the world for 14 months, meaning that nobody could leave or enter the village during that time. Some of the Boundary Stones, where food and medicines were left for the residents, can still be seen today, as can many more of the fascinating historic features of this wonderful village, providing for a really interesting day out, which is obviously even more intriguing since our own recent quarantines!

Today, Eyam is a beautiful village where the narrow streets are lined with pretty cottages and impressive houses, many with spectacular gardens which are open to the public in the summer on a prestigious garden open day. Eyam Hall is open to the public for tours and Eyam Museum tells the story of this unique village.

Eyam is also home to a small selection of shops, one of which is Delightful Living, a lovely gift and homeware store that shares the ‘’delightful’’ cobbled courtyard with Bloom Bar and Grill, well worth a browse during your visit.

Beautiful countryside surrounds Eyam with many picturesque walks. Perhaps take a stroll over to nearby Foolow with its pretty village pond, or to Bretton with far reaching views. Another popular walk is the 5.5 mile circular route to Stoney Middleton, another historic and pretty village.

Whether you are out walking and looking for a pitstop for refreshments, or looking for a more formal setting for coffee, lunch, or a drink, then be sure to call in to Bloom Bar and Grill, where a guaranteed friendly welcome awaits!
