Churn Barn, in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District, really is something special!
This spacious converted barn sleeps up to 12 people, with a magnificent lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen, and luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms. Full of character and charm, with beamed ceilings, oak floors and a large garden, it’s no wonder that Churn Barn is one of the most popular holiday cottages in the Peak District!
Accommodation at Churn Barn
Churn Barn is the perfect home for your group or family to relax in. The large open-plan lounge and dining area has comfortable sofas, a dining table and chairs to seat up to 12 people, a TV, DVD, Freeview and Wi-Fi.
A separate sitting/games room has a further sofa and, chairs, as well as a pool table, football table, TV and Wii Console (please bring your own games and additional controllers).
The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking up a feast for your group. There’s a halogen hob, an electric oven, microwave, slow cooker, a large fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, with a range with quality fitted units and a breakfast bar. In the separate utility room you’ll find a washing machine, tumble-dryer and additional fridge. A high chair is available on request.
A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where you’ll find six beautiful bedrooms, decorated with bright, fresh furnishings. The master double bedroom and second double bedroom both have large en-suite shower rooms. There is also another double bedroom and three additional twin bedrooms. A cot is available on request.
A family bathroom upstairs has a bath, shower and WC, and
there’s a further shower room and WC downstairs.
All bed linen and towels are provided.
Outside at Churn Barn you’ll find a stone flagged patio with garden furniture and a fire pit, perfect for dining al fresco. The very large, secure garden is a great spot for soaking up the Peak District fresh air and admiring the magnificent views. For true luxury, relax in our deluxe jacuzzi hot tub, available for guests over 12 years only and for an additional surcharge.

Churn Barn Location
Churn Barn is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It lies amidst the most beautiful countryside but is walking distance from the pretty village of Chinley, where you’ll find a great local pub, a general store and a lovely tea room called Tea On The Green. This is perfect walking country and there are many footpaths within easy reach of the house. The start of the Pennine Way at Edale is only a few miles away.
Slightly further afield but still within easy driving distance of Churn Barn, you’ll find the large village of Castleton, with its wealth of independent shops, pubs and cafés, as well as a stunning collection of show caverns and an ancient ruined castle, Peveril Castle. In the opposite direction you’re close to the elegant spa town of Buxton, with its graceful Georgian architecture and boutique shopping arcades. The stunning country house estate of Lyme Park, managed by the National Trust, is also within easy reach and makes a great day out.
