Churn Barn Holiday Let really is something special! Situated in the heart of the Peak District on the outskirts of the pretty village of Chinley, it’s close to many fabulous walking routes, such as those over Kinder Scout, and is the perfect place for families and friends to stay together. This spacious converted barn sleeps 8/9 people, with a magnificent lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen, a fabulous games room, and 4 luxurious bedrooms and 4 shower rooms/bathrooms. Full of character and charm, with beamed ceilings, oak floors and a large garden, it’s no wonder that Churn Barn Holiday Let is one of the most popular holiday cottages in the Peak District!

Accommodation at Churn Barn Holiday Let

Churn Barn H oliday Let is the perfect place for your group or family to relax in. The large open-plan lounge and dining area has comfortable sofas, a large dining table and chairs, TV, DVD, Freeview and Wi-Fi, perfect for everyone to socialise together.

There’s a fabulous separate sitting/games room with further sofa and chairs, as well as a pool table, football table, TV and Wii Console, perfect for keeping everyone entertained in an evening, or when the British weather isn’t so good. (Please bring your own Wii games and additional controllers.)

The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for cooking up a feast for your group. There’s a halogen hob, an electric oven, microwave, slow cooker, a large fridge/freezer and a dishwasher, with a range of quality fitted units and a breakfast bar. In the separate utility room you’ll find a washing machine, clothes airer and additional fridge. A high chair is available on request.

A spiral staircase leads to the first floor where you’ll find four beautiful bedrooms, decorated with bright, fresh furnishings. The master double bedroom and second double bedroom both have large en-suite shower rooms. There is also another double bedroom and an additional twin bedroom. A cot is available on request.

A family bathroom upstairs has a bath, shower and WC, and there’s a further shower room and WC downstairs. All bed linen and towels are provided.

Outside at Churn Barn Holiday Let you’ll find a stone flagged patio with garden furniture and a fire pit, perfect for dining al fresco. The very large, secure garden is a great spot for soaking up the Peak District fresh air and admiring the magnificent views.

There is secure parking for up to six cars and storage for bikes.

Please note that smoking is not permitted in Churn Barn Holiday Let and, for the comfort of all guests, pets are not allowed. Churn Barn Holiday Let Location

Churn Barn Holiday Let is situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park. It lies amidst the most beautiful countryside but is walking distance from the pretty village of Chinley, where you’ll find a great local pub, a general store and a lovely cafe. This is perfect walking country and there are many footpaths within easy reach of the house. The start of the Pennine Way at Edale is only a few miles away, and is the mighty Kinder Scout. Churn Barn Holiday Let is also at the very start of the Peak Forest Canal, one of Britain’s most scenic waterways, running for 15 miles towards Ashton under Lyne via the pretty town of Whaley Bridge and New Mills, renowned for its abundance of wildlife.

Slightly further afield but still within easy driving distance of Churn Barn Holiday Let, you’ll find the large village of Castleton, with its wealth of independent shops, pubs and cafés, as well as a stunning collection of show caverns and an ancient ruined castle, Peveril Castle. In the opposite direction you’re close to the elegant spa town of Buxton, with its graceful Georgian architecture and boutique shopping arcades. The stunning country house estate of Lyme Park, managed by the National Trust, is also within easy reach and makes a great day out.
