Stainsborough Hall combines period features, including a log burner and an open fire, with modern styling and features such as a hot tub, creating spacious, luxury self-catering accommodation for group gatherings of up to 20 people in ten beautiful bedrooms.
The large kitchen at Stainsborough Hall is a stunning space all under glass, nestled between the drawing room and the dining room, making for the most wonderful socialising space. The kitchen has been fully equipped to cater for larger groups with two ovens and a hob, two fridges and a freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle, and a Nespresso coffee machine. There’s also a washing machine and dryer, perfect for those enjoying a longer stay. As you would expect, there is ample cookware, crockery and glassware for your party of 20, as well as plastic glasses for use around the Hot Tub!
There are four communal rooms enabling guests to spend time together, yet providing a little space for those that wish to enjoy some relaxing time alone.
The Television Room has a stylish feel with a log burner and plenty of sofas, creating a fabulous place to relax and watch your favourite shows on the Sky TV. It’s tucked away from the main socialising area, so great for those with children, where they can unwind in front of the TV for a while.
Leading from the kitchen is the dining room, a fabulous room with rustic oak tables and plenty of seating for your party of 20. Here, large doors open out on to the patio, with more seating, ideal for alfresco dining on those sunnier days.
Also, leading from the main kitchen is the drawing room, a gorgeous room with lots of comfortable sofas, a piano and an open fire, perfect for relaxing with a drink with friends after dinner. Again, with doors leading out to the patio, to mingle with the party.
Finally, to keep everyone entertained is the Games Room with a pub-size pool table, perfect for challenging your friends and family.
Ten Beautiful Bedrooms
The bedrooms at Stainsbough Hall are set over two floors with six on the first floor and four on the second floor. All bedrooms have been beautifully styled and include a chest of drawers, wardrobes, and bedside tables. Bed linen and towels are provided.
First Floor Bedrooms:
Bedroom 1 – Emperor-size bed
Bedroom 2 – King-size bed
Bedroom 3 – One double bed
Bedroom 4 – King-size bed
Bedrooms 5 & 6 – are two interconnected rooms with one entrance from the corridor. Across the two rooms, there is a King-size bed and two single beds. This room is ideal as a family suite.
Second Floor Bedrooms:
Bedroom 7 – One King-size and one single bed
Bedroom 8 – Two single beds
Bedroom 9 – Two single beds
Bedroom 10 – King-size bed
Six Stylish Bathrooms
There are six bathrooms and two cloakrooms with toilet and sink spread over the three floors. All bathrooms have underfloor heating, mirrors over the sink and refillable toiletries.

Bathroom 1 – Jack-and-Jill bathroom with large walk-in shower, double sink unit, and toilet.
Bathroom 2 – Large bathroom with a cast iron bath to relax in, sink unit, and toilet.

Second Floor:
Bathroom 4 – Shower over a bath, toilet, and sink unit.
Bathroom 5 – Shower room with toilet and sink unit.
Bathroom 6 – Shower with toilet and sink unit.
Stainsbourgh Hall is set in beautiful, private south-facing gardens with plenty of space for outdoor socialising and games. There’s a large garden and terrace that is bathed in sun throughout the day, with outdoor tables and chairs for your group of 20 and a charcoal barbecue.
Why not relax with a glass of fizz in the log fired hot tub, which seats up to 10 people at a time. (£200 extra fee for use.) There’s also plenty of comfortable seating around the hot tub patio for you to relax and enjoy.
There is also a table tennis room for the exclusive use of guests at Stainsborough Hall. As mentioned, guest at Stainsborough Hall have their own pool room too, so everyone is sure to be entertained. Shared with Stainsborough Cottages, there’s an outdoor play area that the children will love and a fabulous Tennis Court with plenty of rackets and balls for you to borrow.
For those who like to get out and about, Stainsborough Hall has direct access to Carsington Water where you can enjoy walking, cycling and a selection of watersports.

Just a couple of miles away you’ll find the historic town of Wirksworth. It boasts a wide range of independent shops and galleries, as well as plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants, plus a lively farmers’ market. It has its own independent cinema and there are many attractions within the area, including the spectacular Star Disc, the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway and the National Stone Centre.
Just six miles away are the lively towns of Matlock and Matlock Bath. Matlock has a great selection of shops and bars, whereas Matlock Bath has a real ‘seaside’ feel about it, with fish and chip shops, arcades and a boating lake. Here you will also be able to enjoy fabulous family days out at The Heights of Abraham and Matlock Farm Park.
